ActionAid India is an anti-poverty agency, working in India since 1972 with the poor people to end poverty and injustice together.
ActionAid had a website dedicated for India
ActionAid challenged us to redesign their entire portal and set a new benchmark for making the old site look more aspirational to young audiences, making the complex navigation easy to comprehend, while making sure that the layout
is more user friendly and all functionalities that enhance the use of the information and services are delivered properly on mobile devices. They wanted a unique design style suitable for the Indian culture. The scope of this project was
to do a complete UX and UI overhaul of the browsing experience without needing to drastically modify existing content.
We began our work on the project by analyzing the information architecture of the previous version of the site and available website traffic data. This allowed us to design a new, well-organized site structure and navigation. We studied
potential user paths in order to select content and elements that should play a key role in the refurbished site.
We launched a modern looking website which worked great with the diverse target group. The graphic design refreshed the image of the brand and gave the website a modern character. The well thought-out information architecture has contributed to the increase in the website usability and the ease with which content is found. www.actionaid.org/india.
